GUNS N' ROSES: 'Chinese Democracy' Mania Hits Germany, Japan; Video Available
November 24, 2008German TV station Pro7 aired a two-minute report on the release of GUNS N' ROSES' long-awaited new album, "Chinese Democracy", which included interviews with the band's fans and a short chat with Sven Kilthau-Lander, senior director of promotion at Universal Music Germany (international division). In other news, one GUNS N' ROSES fan has posted a short video clip of a truck advertising the "Chinese Democracy" album on the streets of Tokyo, Japan. The fan says, "It must have come past me about 5 or 6 times within an hour."
"Chinese Democracy" was released in the U.S. exclusively through Best Buy. The 14-song set is available on CD, vinyl, and as a download.
One new song, "Shackler's Revenge", debuted on September 14 through the Rock Band 2 video game, while another, called "If The World", can be heard in the new film "Body of Lies".
"Chinese Democracy" is the first album of new material from GUNS N' ROSES since 1991's "Use Your Illusion I" and "Use Your Illusion II".
